Jen grew up on Vancouver Island in Victoria and as a teenager her family relocated to Kelowna, BC. She has always had an adventurous spirit one that saw her volunteer in an orphanage in Mexico for 4 months when she was only 17 years old. She also lived in Kansas City while attending a 6 month leadership and disciplining program. It was during her early 20′s that she packed up her little Honda Prelude and drove 3 days across the country to live and experience life in the Greater Toronto Area.
She applied for a job shortly after arriving in the GTA at HeartBeats Fitness Center where she met her soon to be partner in crime, Ira. While they were still dating Jen moved to Vancouver to complete a Personal Support Worker Degree with Fraser University and shortly after that Ira and Jen got married to settle into life in Toronto.
After having there 1st child Jen and Ira really felt a prompting to live and experience life the Okanagan way. They sold their house, and successful personal training business, packed up a U-haul and moved across the country.
Jen is now a proud and devoted stay at home Mom, to 3 beautiful children. Noah, Isla, and Josiah. She has come to love cooking something she once hated and admits had no skills for. Her desire is to help lift up and support other Mom’s by sharing the truth about the difficulties of parenting and ditching the “keeping up the facade” mentality. Jen’s greatest desire is keeping life focused on the simple things.
